Contrary to popular opinion (meaning mine), Rice Chex not only can but will burn in the microwave. Yes folks, I have once again failed an attempt at "cooking." Which I suppose is an accomplishment in itself now that I think about it.
The reason I put the term cooking in quotations is because I use it very specifically. Basically, I determine "cooking" as any act which requires more than the most minimal of efforts as well as using some sort of heat source. Although with this definition, I suppose vacuuming could also be considered cooking. So be it.
In my defense, when I follow a recipe and when I have all the necessary ingredients, I am actually not a bad cook (unless chicken is involved...that's always a disaster). It's just that those two things very rarely happen in the same instance. Hence, burning Rice Chex in the microwave.
