I've done my share of performing. I'm by no means a professional but I have had my time on stage in various venues. It all began with my musical debut as Moses in my church play "Moses and the Freedom Fanatics." There I was with my sponged-on five o'clock shadow, oversized robe, sandals and my very first solo. Since that fateful day in fifth grade I now find myself part of a 10-part a capella group Kaia who just completed its first radio performance. To say the least, it was bizarre. I'm so used to interaction with the audience that going to this room of essentially dead space was surreal to say the least. Still, it was a worthwhile experience and there are few things I support more than public radio.
I have to cut my entry short because my dog is currently attempting to consume a washcloth for his after-dinner mint. Gross...
